ViVO Smart Medical Devices crowned winner of the UKTI East Midlands' Export for Growth prize.

ViVO Smart Medical Devices - Winner UKTI Export for Growth prize

The company will benefit from £5,000 of support and advice from UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), PwC and HSBC, and three grants towards overseas travel to target markets and help boost worldwide sales.

ViVO Smart Medical Devices, based at Biocity, Nottingham, won the prize for PupiloscopeTM a product to help doctors diagnose life threatening head injuries.  The device is a new innovative hand held electronic medical device, which digitally measures and records pupil size and dilation in patients' eyes.

David Wright gave his reaction to the company having the best export idea in the East Midlands:

"Its a fantastic result because this will allow us to get the product out to the global healthcare market much faster.  We will be making the most of what is on offer from UKTI, PwC and HSBC helping us grow our Export Business in the USA, Middle-East and the Asia Pacific Region."
